What to Expect on the Day of RF Microneedling
On the day of your RF Microneedling, we will make you comfortable in one of our reclining treatment chairs. After applying a topical numbing cream, the aesthetician will use the handheld RF Microneedling device and run it across your skin. The device will make micro-punctures while simultaneously emitting the RF waves to the deeper layers of your dermis.
The Sylfirm X experience is different for each person, based on the depth and area treated. Most patients describe a slight tingling sensation and some light pressure.
Treatments can last between 20 and 45 minutes but will vary depending on your goals and how big the targeted area is.

RF Microneedling Recovery
Your recovery period after Sylfirm X is relatively short. Expect some minor swelling and redness that will feel similar to a sunburn. This will last for 1-3 days. You may also have micro-lesions where the needles were applied. These will also fade and disappear in several days.
Patients are generally able to return to work and their usual activities by the day after their treatment. While your skin is healing, use sunscreen daily to protect your skin and stay out of the sun.

RF Microneedling FAQ’s
Is RF Microneedling painful?
Due to the technological advances of SYLFIRM X, the pain and discomfort normally associated with Microneedling and Radio Frequency treatments are so minor, most patients can tolerate treatments with little or no numbing. However, we are sticklers for patient comfort and to be proactively sensitive to our patient’s needs, we apply topical numbing cream before your SYLFIRM X RF Microneedling session.
Patients describe feeling a slight warming sensation as the RF energy enters the dermis, but once again they do not find it to be painful.
How many appointments will I need?
Most patients require three to four treatments spaced four to six weeks apart to achieve an optimal outcome. You will see some improvements right away, but over the course of your treatments, you will see greater and greater results as collagen regeneration increases over several weeks and months.
How long until I see results?
After about two weeks, you will see smaller pores, fewer fine lines, and reduced under-eye circles. It will take about a month to see a reduction in acne scars and other more significant skin blemishes and concerns, such as melasma.
Can I combine RF Microneedling with other procedures?
Of course! Some of the more commonly combined treatments include Chemical Peels, IPL Photofacial, or even BOTOX for a renewed and more youthful appearance.
