What to Expect on the Day of PicoSure™ Focus Skin Revitalization
Your PicoSure session will take about 30 minutes to perform, depending on the extent of your treatment. While most patients do not need a topical anesthetic, we do offer a numbing medication upon request. The technician will use the handheld PicoSure device directly on your skin. The device uses ultra-short bursts of laser energy to elicit a tissue reaction in your skin which leads to a reduction of skin impurities and encourages collagen and elastin production.

Although some initial redness can occur as a result of treatment, most patients can resume their normal routine immediately following a session. Some patients may need to plan to spend the remainder of the day resting. Our team can determine whether you need to rest or take any other special measures following your treatment session.
Some patients may need up to six treatments to achieve their desired results. We may recommend separating treatment sessions by up to eight weeks, depending on your skin type. During an initial consultation, we will take note of your goals, your skin type, and other factors to help you understand the treatment timeline you can expect.
