We begin with a private consultation to determine which areas will benefit most from treatment and which laser technique would be best for you and we tailor a plan to meet your needs. We make sure the procedure is the right fit. We want our patients to get the maximum benefit from treatment and that’s why we start any program with a very focused plan for each patient. This allows us to perform a treatment that fits within your budget and still delivers the results you want.

What to Expect on the Day of BroadBand Light Therapy?
When you’re ready for your BBL Laser therapy, you will first be administered numbing cream on the treatment site to give you a more comfortable and tolerable experience. Next, we will provide you with protective eyewear that shields your eyes from the light. The power level of the light with be adjusted and using the handheld device, Dr. Galitzin will go over the treatment area, emitting short bursts of the laser. The energy level can be adjusted to get the most out of your session through stronger pulses or dialed down to match your comfort level.
The whole treatment will take about 30 – 45 minutes to complete.

BBL Laser Recovery
When you are finished with your treatment, we will apply some sunscreen to your skin before leaving to help protect your newer layers of skin. You can resume your daily routine, but your face will appear reddened and might be a little sensitive. You should expect some mild swelling for the first few days followed by your skin flaking off after one or two weeks. If your treatment was performed on blood vessels, there will be some bruising as well. If your skin suffers from redness and/or sun damage, you may see a lot of new pigment come to the surface. This is to be expected and will last about three to five days post-treatment. We strongly recommend that you wear a good SPF and protect your skin every day to get the most out of your BBL.
While you will see long-lasting results after multiple sessions, your skin is continuously exposed to hazards (i.e. sun, scarring, hormones, environment, etc.) that cannot resist picking up the new pigment. Due to these unavoidable factors, you may need to consider BBL treatments every year to maintain the results.

Is BroadBand Light Therapy painful?
BroadBand Light is a mostly painless procedure. We can adjust the light to a power level that can be comfortable for you and we can apply a numbing ointment to ease any discomfort, but many patients express feeling a “rubber band snap” as each light pulse impacts their skin
How many appointments will I need?
For most patients, BBL Laser is not a one-time treatment. You can see some differences after your first treatment, but you should expect between three and five sessions all spaced apart by six to twelve weeks. This time frame not only lets your skin heal, but it will also allow Dr. Galitzin to get a better understanding of how your skin is reacting to each treatment.
How long until I see results?
Your skin will be reddened and may be slightly swollen for a few days post-treatment, so realistically, it will take about two weeks for you to see the full results. Once the healing process is finished, you should be able to notice smoother skin that appears brighter with fewer discolorations, fine lines, and reduced pore size.
Can I combine BBL Laser with other procedures?
Absolutely! Our BBL Laser patients in the Atlanta area commonly combined their therapy with other skin procedures such as Microneedling and Chemical Peels. To learn the best combinations for your skin is to discuss it with Dr. Galitzin during your consultation. He will be able to examine your skin and use his expertise to help you decide what other procedures will work best for you.
What are the risks associated with BBL Laser?
